What's New in Optix: November 2024

2024 is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean our work here at Optix has stopped!

In fact, November was one of our busiest months of the year with a huge new update to the user Account Panel, a highly-anticipated upgrade to emails sent in Automations, and a few enhancements to existing features in Optix that are nothing short of delightful.

Introducing: The Account Panel

The User Account Panel in Optix

This month we launched the jaw-dropping, show-stopping, brand new Account Panel, a centralized dashboard that brings together every important detail about a user or team in one intuitive place. The feedback of this new panel has been incredible, and we are so excited to offer more oversight of your users’ activity all in one place!

Here you can view user information related to invoicing, allowance, assignments, custom properties, and anything else you could dream up. You can customize what information appears at the top of the panel so you can quickly get the information you need. You can even edit key user details, like payment methods, right in the Account Panel.

This exciting new update will help you increase oversight, streamline navigation, and make it so you never have to have multiple Optix tabs open at the same time ever again.

Send Optix automated emails from a domain of your choosing ⚡

Send emails from custom email address - Optix

Not to be outdone by the Account Panel, however, is a small update that can bring big changes to your organization – and it’s highly anticipated by our clients.

From now on, emails you include in your automations will be sent from your own domain instead of the optixapp domain. That means, if you send an automated welcome email to all new members, that email will now come from you instead of Optix. So when a user replies to an automated email sent from your Optix dashboard, you can now continue the conversation in your own email’s inbox.

This strengthens your brand identity and makes it easier for you to manage replies. Plus, using your domain adds an extra layer of trust, making your messages feel more personal and more professional.

@ mention admins directly in Notes

@ mention admins in notes

With the Account Panel comes a few cool new features that will help you get the most out of Optix. One of these is @ mentions.

Let’s say you have a new member and you want to let your community manager know they would be a great person to connect with another member. @ mention that admin directly in the Notes section at the top right of the Account Panel.

The admin you mentioned will then get a notification that will take them directly to that note. This helps you communicate with your team asynchronously while ensuring all information about a user is centralized in one place.

Access user details directly from an invoice (and many more places in the dashboard!)

Access user details from anywhere in the dashboard

It’s the end of the month and your admin team is going through the invoices. They see one from a dedicated desk member that they have a question about. Instead of navigating away from the invoice page and searching for that user, they can click on their name directly on the invoice to open up that user’s Account Panel.

Here, they can view past bookings and allowance usage to better understand what the invoice is accounting for, quickly clearing up any uncertainties. When they have the information they need, they can exit out of the Account Panel and view the invoice once more.

You can open a user’s account panel from virtually anywhere inside the dashboard now that their name appears. This makes finding the information you need in Optix easier, communicating with other admins about users faster, and eliminating unnecessary navigation within the platform.

View Automation enrolments from the Account Panel

Automation enrolments

Keeping track of who is enrolled in what automation is an important part of an effective automation strategy. Now, you can do that directly from the Account Panel.

Click into any user and the Account Panel will show you all of the automations that user is enrolled in, as well as the status of that automation. If you want to dive a bit deeper, you can click on any automation to view the version that the user is on and when it was triggered.

This improves oversight while giving you a quick and easy way to keep track of your automations.
